I am just about to jump on a plane for the Northern Hemisphere.

Sweet Hart and I will be at the Woodenboat Show in Mystic on 29 and 30 June, anyone here going?

It would be fun to catch up if you are there.

We are in France, Northern Italy and Ireland before 29 June, and off to Denver on July 1.

Hopefully I will find some free wifi on the way, so I can check in from time to time.

Seth has my email address if there are problems.

For the record, I suggested (on rather late notice, I'll admit) that Olaf and Sweet Hart stick around long enough to join in on the Narragansett rendezvous.... but their schedule is fixed. They are wonderful people and I think we ought to go over to Mystic and swap lies with them while they're this close. Just who that "we" is escapes me at the moment, but consider this an open invitation to anyone wanting to join in on the short journey over to Mystic from most anywhere in RI.

Olaf & Sweet - have a fantastic holiday. I spent just over a week in Ireland a few years ago. I enjoyed my time there, very much. Mystic is such a cool place to visit. I haven't been to the Wooden Boat Festival there, but I would think they would definitely know how to do it up right, given it's rich maritme history.
France is on my five year bucket list.

Safe travels to you both. I hope you get to meet Seth and others from here, while you are on the right side up part of this small world.

Reporting back, we made it back to Tassie last week.

Had a great time at Mystic, Seth made it down with his daughter and we had a great time at Costellos, in Noank.

We went to Tuscany, Bordeaux and the South Coast of France, West Coast of Ireland and Denver. Ireland was the surprise, wasnt expecting much but had a ball.

Someone took our IPads in La Rochelle, a major inconvenience.

Mystic Seaport is amazing, the Wooden Boat Show OK but not as good as Hobart.

Now I just have to find my way to Douarnez, La Rochelle, Port Townsend and the Perry Rendezvous ...
