I'm sure you have seen some coverage. It's worse than it looks. Just how much rain fell? Well, in a place called 'Hope', in a thirty hour period they had over 8 1/2" of rain. Add to that the warming temps, a high freezing level, and the rain melting recently fallen snow ... it's a recipe for, well, disaster. You can't drive here from Alberta--every highway is blocked by slides or washouts. Some won't be open for months. Both railways closed due to washouts as well. Washington State is also a mess, can't use that route either.
