Snowmaggedon!

Just heard from a friend in Halifax: so much snow that even the LIQUOR STORES are closed. Given that, what's the point of a snow day? :D

We got a bit over two feet outside of Boston. It's beautiful. All of our snow removal gear worked well and we never lost power.

Adele & I also had a blast with a snow tube today. We made sort of a luge run with a big bank turn. Great fun. Hope you get power soon a2.

Keith:
What is a snow tube?

Seth: Considering your background I would think you be very comfy without the power. After all you have Scout to keep you warm. When we have a power outage about the time I get the lanterns placed, a fire going and my guitar tuned the power comes back on spoiling everything. I'm lucky that my propane stove allows me to cook.

What the hell is a Puffkeepsie?
Is that where little gnomes live?
I'd be embarrassed to live in a place with a name like that.
I live in Tulalip. It's hard to say that without looking gay.

That's just down the road from Spee-Bi-Dah, according to the chart. You guys were really big on using native names. I assume they were native names. Maybe the surveyors were ladymen.

I don't live there, my daughter goes to school there, IF THAT'S OK WITH YOU!

It happens to be a bit of a dump, but that's neither here nor there, now is it?

Yeah the surveyors were something else. Those Twisps would Humptulips and then Puyallup all over themselves I am told. I think it's a bunch of Hoqiam though since I have not seen any Concrete evidence. You might ask Dabob what he thinks though. Boom Walla Walla! Boom Walla Walla!

You sent your daughter to a dumpy place with a name like that?

My daughter goes to school in Washington, in one of the few places up there with a really cool sounding name.

Spokane. It's so cool Eric Clapton covered a JJ Cale song about it!

At least, I'm pretty sure that's what they're saying...

As for it being a bit of a dump, I'll defer to Paul on that...

aaaand... I still can't make the youtube thing work.

WTF?

I even went back and cut-and-pasted Paul's (Valis, not Amati) instructions on how to fix the last one I failed on, and tried to edit it to make it work.

Do they teach this stuff in Pooh-Kipsie? Maybe I should go to school there?

You have to remove the "s" at the end of https:/, that indicates a secure site and you apparently can't embed a link to a secure site.
That's my best guess, my link works anyhow...

I didn't send her there, she chose it all on her little lonesome and I thought it was pronounced Spo-Kan (to rhyme with "sit on it and rotate").

We have mud tubes here:

The funny thing is the sign for Spee-Bi-Da has Spee-Bi-Dah spelled one way on one side of the sign and another way on the other.
My beach is Tulare and there is nothing native american about that.
And to make it worse I live on Port Susan. I don't even know who Susan was.

Did you know you have a nasty, tick-borne disease named after your beach (actually the CA county of the same name)? I can't think of any diseases named after Poughkeepsie, NY.

Still a pretty dazzling place (I keep walking into trees, tripping over benches, and getting dope slapped by daughter) and even the 11 straight guys there wear scarves in the summer.

How do you know they are straight?

Sounds like Creampuffkeepsie to me.

It's so much simpler out here. "Is that a Sockeye in your pants or are you just happy to see me?"
