Yeah, yeah, just drive those health care costs up.

Thanks Taxpayers....

Excellent news of a 30% reduction in tumor size to date and no signs of any metastasis at all. Tells us the diagnosis is spot on, the treatment is appropriate and we are on the offense.
Next Chemo session starts Thursday.

The new Fiat 124 Abarth roadster. Don't hurt my checkbook a bit. Hers is sufffering some.

Mine would look cute in one too, but unless I have gotten a very wrong impression over the years, I don't think either of us would buy our daughters a car like that. However, congrats on having a 26 yo with the ways and means! We just sprang for Sophie's first year of Irish private health insurance, as she's aging out of Tricare Young Adult on Saturday. Much less exciting.

We are proud of her. Works her "real job" with full benefits and a second as a bartender for a catering company (weddings, parties, funerals, Lions Club, political gatherings) on the side. Banks 100% of the bartender income and shares an apartment with 2 other young folks to keep the rent down. Putting away 401 savings plus more. Took her a couple of months to go from "i want it" to "I can afford it" to "I'm willing to spend some significant savings for it." She has taken to heart that financing a depreciating asset is not wise. She did take out a small loan on this, strictly to make the credit bureaus happy and build more credit history. She'll pay it off in a few months from money currently in her savings.
Really good exercise in 1. Not waiting until she had to have a new car to shop for one, 2. Researching cost and making the deal and 3. Learning all about buying, title, registration, etc.
And it looks good on her! Her rationale was "my next car will likely be an "adult" car or SUV with attachments for car seats, space for groceries, etc. my "first car" was my HS Mazda6 and it was fine but is getting old and needs to go (it got hit and was a "constructive" total but safe to drive while she shopped. Now for sale "as is"). She decided to buy a "fun car" for now.
Now. MY question is if she and her boyfriend get more serious, does she sell the Fiat or does he get rid of the Stage 2 tuned WRX-STI?

The STI has the anchors and room for baby seats. You can even carry a 80lb floor sander and 5' ladder at the same time. A very practical car and STG 2 get better fuel economy than stock.

They aren't even engaged. Let's not give her babies yet.![]()
Her older sister is due to deliver #1grandchild in early December. I'm good with that. Point it she wanted her fun car now. Every cute young lady needs a red convertible at some time in her life.

Just about. Blood test today. WBC, RBC, HCT and platlets low but not alarming. BP low so they detoured me to a room for a liter of fluid. Seeing the doc tomorrow. Suspect he'll want new blood work Friday or Monday before committing to the next Chemo session, hopefully starting next Wednesday. Don't want to push it back a week.

Lynne tell you I'm having my peoples over for drinks on the evening of the 28th? Perfect excuse to make sure they're out by 2100. If she's early there might be a margarita left.
