Who's sorry now? That 2002 would be crusher material now but the Z would be approaching $100K.

What a horrible car that was, even for an AMC product. Got knocked off my bicycle by a lady driving one who evidently had no idea where her stbd side was. Unsurprising considering the shape.

If memory serves AMC managed to build the Pacer without having to design a single piece of glass, thus the stern on that beauty (the car that is). Parts-Bin engineering is a real art (Audi is very good at it) but AMC just pushed it too far!

I'm going to guess Brigitte Bardot never owned a Pacer.

I had a french housemate, Dominique, in grad school. He was dodging the compulsory military service in France by getting a Chem Eng PhD and an MBA. He had a beautiful girlfriend in France, Anne, who would visit us a few times a year. I'm sure they eventually got marrried.

In the meantime he would entice cute french au pairs back to our house to satisfy his needs. They were always fun, never wore bras and were very open with showing me their breasts, in that carefree "accidental" sort of way.

I used to get indignant that Dom would do this to Anne but I don't think she gave a shit.
