Maybe he has a point?

Over the last month, I've been observing the temperatures at which folks start whining. I was really surprised. As a kid, I lived in LA and we regularly played outside in 104-106 deg temps during the summer. When in the mountains we (meaning my family) didn't bother with coats, boots, etc... until it really got down to about 40 deg. Basically, we had an operating temperature range of about 70 deg F.
Now I'm learning that folks are keeping their kids home from school because the temp is over 100 degrees and I got an ear full from a relative because I took her daughter out for a walk without her heavy coat in 52 degrees.
What is going on???
Sorry - wrong place to post this, but I'm too lazy to re-type it. Please forgive

I thought the post to be rather clever.
