New Crew - Making our own indirectly

Postby BeauV » Thu Jan 03, 2013 3:42 pm

All,

Today our first new crew was born in quite some time. Madison popped out today at 0830 hours weighing in at 6lbs 2oz and standing (well not quite yet) at 18". She is absolutely perfect in every way and the most beautiful child ever born - period. I'll brook no argument on this, my granddaughter is the most beautiful kid ever. (Until we have another one.) See pictures (so it really happened) below of my future foredeck hand!

Mother and child are both doing really well, I'm off to the hospital again having walked the dog and pounded down a roast beast sandwich.

Opa (aka Beau)

Opps: I'll check on the link, her mummy may have taken it down.

OK, here's a new link:

Wait just a cotton pickin' minute!
She looks exactly like Violet did at that age.
I call it a tie. They are the two most beautiful women in the world.

Congrats Beau. Now I won't have to feel guilty posting pics of Violet.

WOW, Bob, this is scary! They really do a lot alike, what with those cute button noses and little chins! YIKES!!!

OK, there can be two "Most Beautiful Granddaughters in The WORLD!" (I'm guessing there may be more someplace....)

Violet is sure a great looking crew!!!

Beau:
We are lucky men. We can look at our grandaughters and wonder at their beauty and their potential.
I would hate to turn this into a contest but I think Violet and your new wonder could play on the same US Women's soccer team. Violet will be the goalie.

Bob,

I agree - I'm sticking to "wonder" (great word) and there's no need for a contest of any kind. Based on her mom, Madison will probably wind up being a long distance runner... in our family we're not all that talented with balls but pretty good at endurance.

As to being lucky - you bet! There is damn little that makes one feel lucky like a healthy happy grandkid!

Thanks Pat,

Our littlest crew member gets to head home from the hospital in the morning. Her grandmother and I will be over there warming up the house and laying in stores for the big home coming bright and early in the morning.

A little late to the party here, but Congrats to you and yours, Beau!! That's a beautiful new crew member you have, there!

I had the privilege of meeting the beautiful Violet just before New Years, and at dinner on New Year's Eve my folks were talking about the special magic of being a grandparent so was primed for your news to be especially enjoyable. Babies are awesome.

Enjoy!!

Congratulations! Violet and Madison just couldn't be more perfect.
