Sweet Hart has a possum trap near her fruit trees.

This morning she caught a Tasmanian Devil!

It's a juvenile, but in good shape. There are rare as around here, we report sightings.

The best part is when we released it it ran under the house. We may have a pet Devil to feed meat scraps.

So, Tasmanian Christmas wishes.

We left some turkey bones out near the opening under the balcony last night, no sign of them this morning.

Looking hopeful.

It's too bad that a unique animal like the Devil has that nasty, contagious tumour around their mouths that is reducing their numbers.
