Indeed - and to all the rest as well. We are off to the cenotaph shortly for the ceremonies.

A link to make one think on this day.

Given my recent trip to Gettysburg, I've been thinking a lot on this. The honor is well deserved.

Larry, Irie, Ajax, any others I've missed, a glass with you!

Yes, thank you.

As I have come to see what the world is like, or would be like, without the presence of those who have served, I have gained a very deep appreciation for the contributions of our veterans. Where I live wouldn't exist. My lovely bride wouldn't exist, (OK maybe she'd be a Nork).

It is indeed an honour to serve. Particularly so today--played Last Post at the Japanese-Canadian War Memorial in Stanley Park. These were folks who could not vote, and who still volunteered.

Had the most unusual musical compliment. Young(ish) lady ran up to me after.

"Hi" she says, "I used to be married to a trumpet player!"

Me: "My deepest condolences".

Her: "I kept waiting for you to make a mistake--and you never did!!" :D
