Good vid - thanks.
Read a book about that plane a few years ago. Hard to believe that it was even considered possible back in the days of tail fins on cars, let alone actually built. When they started it the first supersonic jets were just entering service and it was
twice as fast as them. If they started building it
today it would be the most advanced aircraft on Earth.
I liked the stories of lighting the engines - the start carts were originally powered by NASCAR Buick engines, later they changed to big block Chevies - just for
starter motors. The fuel for it cost more than good Scotch.
That pilot sure is good humoured for a guy that had such deadly serious jobs.
