Margie and I were talking about this, and trying to remember some of the standards of our day: Moon River, Perfidia, Unchained Melody, My Girl.

What got you going?

I was a teenager in the late '60s and the go to song for a slow dance at the high school dances was Angel of the Morning with Merrilee Rush, and if her band was the one playing that night it was even better.

Yesterday and Michelle, by the Beatles.
Sound of Silence, by Paul Simon

Brings back some great memories!

The Hound Dawgs (I think it was) were my fraternity's favorite band for house parties, etc. I mostly remember their rendition of this:

"Moon River".... Andy Williams had a voice smooth as silk.

Try queuing up The Association for some amazing harmonies: Cherish and Never My Love

The ever-so-sultry Dusty Springfield: Look of Love and You Don't Have to Say You Love Me

Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World is over-played, but it's Mrs IrieMon's favorite song so I have to mention :D

Start that slow dance and get lucky tonight !
