Three-flight Caribbean

Daughter has decided she needs to get out of Galway for a week this winter and enjoy her parents' company in a warm place. Her mother and I wouldn't think of denying her. We favor places it takes three planes to get to (the last one, preferably, with one engine) and have no high-rise hotels, casinos, cruise ships, yacht races, etc. I guess it also has to have escaped devastating hurricane damage, but it would be nice to put our dollars into an economy that really needs them. Good diving is a must, but beaches are unnecessary. She thinks Montserrat would be good. Apparently, lots of Irish folks were indentured there and there's still a connection. I've never been.
Any ideas?

Loved Martinique. Too bad Norweigian pulled out of BWI. You can get there from NY.
Hotels and food were cheap, people friendly and our high school French and their high school English and we got by. Bring Euros.
Enjoy wherever you go!

Now that’s my kind of pricing. Web site suggests it might even satisfy the co-owner’s demanding tastes.
