Animal ID

This is what? Pictures taken yesterday or the day before. East coast of Florida just south of the space center.

Edit note: I've deleted the pictures since I heard through the grape vine that there was some discomfort with having them posted.

Maybe. Reportedly, the photographer in the kayak petted it. What else would be so docile?

I'm pretty sure that's a whale. Manatee have their nostrils in their nose if I recall. that thing has nostrils right where humpback whales have them. It's hard to judge size, but if it's a humpback it's a small one. The adults are about 40-50' long min. They are often quite tame and they zone out while on the surface in protected areas. It's easy to believe you could pet one.

Their breath smells TERRIBLE!!!
