SemiSalt goes bionic

It's been apparent for a long time that I would end up with a pacemaker someday. Someday turned out to be Tuesday. If you don't read the minute-by-minute log, it all went well. I'm home with a very sore shoulder and impressive bruising. Well, it looks like bruising, but maybe a doctor would have another name for it. But I'm comfortable.

The pacemaker is set up to phone home. This can be done via a home monitoring unit or via a smart phone. The phone seems to be a better idea, but my Moto X doesn't make the approved list. So I get to buy a new phone.

The down side is the loss of the last two Tuesday night races at the end of a not very good year weather-wise.

Glad you are still with us! You've got the fall (and lots more summers) to sail.

Semi - glad to hear your ticker regulator is installed and working. Friends of mine have reported good results from the these despite the PITA of getting it installed.
