Joke thread

Postby Olaf Hart » Wed May 06, 2020 9:33 pm

I couldn’t find a joke thread, so started one for lockdown fun.

In Oz, we have a cartoonist called Michael Leunig, who has been working since the late sixties, and is still going.

He is a bit depressed and autistic, but his cartoons are timeless.

I just spent an hour trawling through his recent work, thought some of you guys might enjoy it, hope the cultural divide isn’t too deep between Oz and the USA..

Thanks for that Olaf!
Some of those could be applied quite widely.

I read through all of them on that site and there wasn't one I didn't like. I think they would be universally understood by those with his point of view, and hopefully by those with differing points of view.

A story by the local public broadcaster about a kid who was pulled by a great white from a fishing boat and survived.

If you want to get an idea of real Tasmanians, look at the highlighted quote from a local fisherman at the end of the story...

Another thread reminded me of this Joke, so I thought I'd post it here...

A physicist, a biologist and a mathematician are sitting on a bench, watching a house. Initially they decide that the house must be empty. Then they see two people enter the house. A while later, they watch three people leave the house.
The physicist says, “The initial measurement must have been inaccurate.”
The biologist says, “No, they must have reproduced.”
The mathematician says, “If one more person goes in, then it will be empty again.”
