In long retrospect, I wouldn't have it any other way, just a bit more articulate. Women have taught me many useful things.

Ah, Mr. Munn, I see you have taken the professional husbandry course.

I have seen the nail clip before and I love it. Thankfully my wife Jill is not like that.

Exactly and vice versa. Women civilize men and men H women TFU. We are each two halves of a whole and without the other we are not complete. A quick look at men and women who have spent their lives alone demonstrates the truth of this. They may well be accomplished but they tend to be rather narrow.

That sounds about right.

I like to think that I'm not like that.(if I'm wrong I don't want to hear it, just smile and nod ;) ) I have three brothers and an engineer for a father, so I think my analytical thinking and fix-it genes are more predominant that my emotional girly ones (not sayin' they ain't still there). But almost all of my girl friends are just like this and it drives me nuts! They talk themselves in a circle and when I offer help they don't want to hear it. But when I don't say anything and just listen they also get mad at me. I think this is why I have far more male than female friends.

That just makes you a healthy heterosexual. ;) I have always preferred the company of women myself. :D

Just add an adequate sporting knowledge and a father who owns a bar, and you would be the perfect catch.

HA! Well, thanks to my Ex, I know a whole lot about sports..or enough to make it sound like I do 8-) No bar to speak of, but the parents do live full time in the Caribbean now, so a free vacation spot isn't too bad a trade off!

I do too and nearly everything I know about leading, managing, and helping (not fixing) people, I learned from 36 years of talking, arguing, and a few real fights, with my wife.

In the past 3 days I've had to deal with:

"People hate me and I suck at making new friends" followed 30 minutes later with "I'd like to get a job at Ikea where I can make new friends" (daughter #1)

"I'm going to kill myself if you don't let me spend 2 more hours with my friends" followed two hours later with "haha...sorry about that. I realize now it was silly" (daughter #2)

<said in that crying, 7 year-old voice> "Momma threw away that last piece of pizza that I made today at the restaurant with the other kids...WAAAAAAAAA!!!" My response? "Maybe you can get it out of the garbage". I was in the garage varnishing (surprise). "The box is on the top, but I can't reach it" So I pull the box out, but it had opened and the pizza was at the bottom of the bag. "Can we have pizza for dinner tomorrow?" (daughter #3)

"<a daughter> is driving me INSANE. Why do they keep behaving like this, today <a daughter> was doing....sssssssSSSSSShShHHHHHHHhHHHH <--static-->ssssssSSSHHHHH. I swear, this was all a mistake. Why did I ever have kids" (wife)

I swear, if I didn't have such a short attention span I'd be an alcoholic.

It gets better - they become people after their teens. ;)
