She uses a face shield, N95 and a surgical mask along with 2 hats. The N95 is not mandated for non-infected patients.

There is no surplus of N95s, so she wants to keep it as clean as possible. They are still testing the moms, but not the dads, and the virus is now spreading among one ethnic group that makes up a large part of the Bayview population. Hopefully she does better with this mask, or she will have to get a respirator style.

That sucks. Is the respirator silicone instead of latex? Mine weights a lot and is hot as balls.

Here's some observations of tweets for correlation of phrases with temperature.

Image

Hot as balls seems to correlate with about 84 F.

Witches tits are an interesting comparison. It seems they are highly cold biased.

Beau,

Next time a bump into Kit I'll ask about working on Mayan.

These past few years, he and his wife are devoted full time to their vineyard and winery SAILOR VINEYARD. They now have about 2 acres of grapes. Like everything Kit builds, the place is beautiful.

Steve, it would have been during the phase when Wayne Ettel was rebuilding her. (apx: 2003-2005) I'm not sure if Kit worked on her then, or if he worked on her earlier during the time when Crosby owned her.

Josh Mahan. He works for Boyer Towing (This is a Barge and Towing company located just up the river from Joe's office). He also does a LOT of hazardous tree removal work.

He had no fear of my shutting down the plane's engine. Obviously.

Oh my Christ. WHY isn't the propeller moving?!? This is why I don't like to fly in those rubber-band powered jobs. :wtf:

Because I had previously turned off the ignition and "pulled up" the plane's attitude very steeply to stop the prop (almost all propeller aircraft engines will continue to "windmill" unless airspeed is greatly reduced). Once stopped the compression of one of the engine cylinders will hold the prop in place as long as airspeed is kept low.

This aircraft has an electric starter, so a super steep dive was not needed to get the prop spinning again.

Never tried this method of restating:

Steve that is one balls to wall stunt for an air show pilot hand propping on CG sensitive airplane. I think he had some serious trial and error getting this act perfected. Thx for that vintage clip.

Ed,

I believe the pilot would position is left leg in front of the stick to keep the plane sort of level during the stunt (he was alone).

I have tried to replicate this position in a Cub (on the ground) and found it VERY difficult to reach everything. I am 5' 10". This guy must have been tall.

Bet he worked out the act from a very high altitude

I pickled a jar of fresh beets this morning, from scratch. The beets are from our CSA. Yes, this is the weird shit that the pandemic causes people to do.

Mmmmm roasted beets - a little thyme, olive oil..wrap it in tinfoil and chuck it in a hot oven...Just don't put it on my burger - that's sacrilege.

I hope everyone is being safe...

Here is a question for the group: soap or hand sanitizer?

Our household is on team soap. When I used the only bottle of hand sanitizer, my wife pointed out that use-by date was about four years ago. Then she bought a couple of new bottles, so we have viable sanitier option.

So, given an situation with minimal, but non-zero, chance of infection, do you trust hand sanitizer or do you insist on soap? I'm thinking of something like carrying the mail in from the mailbox in your bare hand. (Oh, the horror!)

On the soap front, in one of our bathrooms, we're using a bar of DIAL soap that had been in deep storage for a couple years. It's been used every day since late March but it seems to last a long time. Not used for showers.

I'm on both teams but I use soap more if I can.
Funny thing, I have one of those bars of Dial anti bacterial bars on the boat. I've had it since the Pearson 30, so 5 or 6 years now. It's just a sliver now but it just won't die!

Also not used for showering.

Soap - hand sanitizer when outside and away from soap.

Blue Power from Jamaica makes a true carbolic soap that we use at home. Good for prickly heat.
