Raising a glass to Spike

Postby Ish » Mon Jan 20, 2014 9:08 pm

I'm taking the liberty of cross-posting from Cruising Anarchy, for those folks who don't go there any more, or avoided it like the plague that it is. I think Bob will forgive me.

Tomorow is Spike's birthday. I'm not sure how old he would have been. Doesn't matter anymore. He's 30 years old forever.

But he would like us to have a drink and he was not much of a drinker but he could make amazing run drinks. "Hey Spike, can I finish your's?"

So tonight and tomorrow, if anything is bothering you try to put it in perspective. Most things you can fix. Some things you can't.

I am proud of my boy. I will love him forever. He'd be happy knowing a bunch of whacky SA'ers were toasting him.

To Spike!

Thanks Jim.

Thinking of you, Bob (and Jill)

I will raise a glass tonight to honor Spike.

Here's to Spike. He wasn't much younger than me, just a few years. A reminder to not put things off, or take anything for granted, just because you're "young". Go and do NOW. You just don't know.

There's rum in my glass now--and warm thoughts in my head of close family.

To Spike. To his Mom and Dad. To all who helped the Perry family through the shoals."Naz Drovja"

There are still somethings worth posting on SA, this was one for me.

To Spike.
