A belated Happy Birthday, Andy. At least you're headed south!

Please keep your eyes open for these guys, they are pushing the weather window in an older boat (Columbia 29) with minimal (electric drive) power.

I'll keep an eye out for them. Came in a bit late at the Chesapeake Bay Entrance so had 50 out of the NNW and cold. Fairly unpleasant sailing, so pulled in to Little Creek to regroup. We should see the folks on the Columbia tomorrow as we head for Coinjock. I'll make sure to say hi.

Thanks Lin! I was in Toronto--my cousin dropped dead of a heart attack at 59. She lived a rich and full life and had wonderful friends, but gone way too soon. Silver lining was that I got to have dinner with my son and his fiancee a few times.

And, if you buy me a beer sometime, I'll tell you the rest of the story!

Hey, what about me????? Yesterday (Dec 10) was my #60, or as I call it the big Six Oh Shit!
Anyway, it's all right. I still feel more alive than dead, so that's great.

Happy Birthday, Paul. Are those buttons for electric winches I see? Looks like you're well set up to sail into your dotage.

Kim I’d say you and Bob have been doing a lot more than coasting the last few months and once you splash the boat, look out !!!! Some thing tells me on her first sail the grin on both your faces will be THE KODAK moment of the century. As to myself, I still have the energy to climb a 6 metre Jacobs ladder in a snow storm then 7 flights of stairs to the pilot house.Don’t know how long that will last.

I know, but I didn't see a fire extinguisher on hand. I had the safety of Scantyland in mind. ; )
