Ha! I was looking into trying to find some kind of quick, cheap getaway before the baby is born, and I looked at temps around the country, and thought, well, what's the point of that????

Leeward side of the Big Island in Hawaii - 83 deg, 10k of wind, water is about 80 deg.... seems perfect.

You have any open water up your way Rick? Lake Erie is breaking up but the SW winds are causing some big ridges to form now, ships are getting stuck sticking their noses into the ice after clearing the Welland Canal. Looking like a long time before some of this ice goes away.Soñadora wrote:funny

Some interesting articles about the start of the shipping season here in duluth - http://duluthshippingnews.com/
It's going to be a rough go this year. As far as sailing goes, I'm pretty sure the month of May is going to be a wash, and we may still be dodging ice bergs on our way to the Apostles for race week in early July
