I'll drink to that! I raise my glass to my fellow Scantlingers.
May 2017 be kinder to all of us.

As my father would say, May we never have it any worse!

Daughter is sending video from Reykjavík. The place is a war zone of fireworks.

A safe, joyful, adventurous New Year to all. Let's go sailing!

My old radio doesn't do 160. (I'm actually not sure my radio does anything at the moment, I think Wayne has pulled the antenna tuner out.)

Happy New Year to you all.

Stayed up until 1 in the a.m. and received a lovely and thoughtful holiday card from someone named George.

I need to come down there and sort out your radio room Beau!

I found lots of contacts on 80 and 160.

Ran into a bunch of guys gathered on "Top Band" at 1847 Kilocycles (KHz) and we celebrated the New Year together using my dedicated WWV receiver to pinpoint the change over to 2017 (how's that for geeky?!) Then we all signed off and went to bed.

(One of the guys was MLB Hall of Famer Joe Rudi-NK7U)

"We made it through alive!!" What my Dad would shout as the ball dropped.

Happy Hangover Dad (another quote from the old man.)

Now, off to brunch with #2 son and his new bride. Got a nice txt from #1 son saying "Happy New Year from a dusty place", #1 daughter is in Thailand with her mom and sending selfies, #2 daughter is home with the M&Ms playing with electric trains, I'm here in SF with my lovely Admiral making plans for where we're going cruising. Life is very good!
